Reflections of God’s Holy Land, A personal journey through Israel by Eva Marie Everson and Miriam Vamosh. (Book Review)
My heart started racing as soon as the package containing “Reflections of God’s Holy Lnad” arrived in the mail. I’ve been to Israel twice and longed to see how the experience was caught on paper. Miriam Vamosh’s historical knowledge and Eva Marie Everson’s thought provoking journal of her trip was refreshing. It did more than inspire me with affection for the Holy Land. It provoked me to return so that I could record my own thoughts as I toured the land.
I was a wee bit disappointed in the photography. I’m not sure if it was the way the photos were laid out or because I was expecting photos which captured the essence of the journal entries Overall the book is a storehouse of treasures. Any one who has been to Israel and wants to keep the remembrance fresh “Reflections of God’s Holy Land” fills the bill. For those who have not experienced the land of Israel first hand this book is unique. It will certainly capture your heart, making you ask yourself…What would my journal entries include if I visited the land? For anyone preparing thinking about visiting Israel I really encourage you to read this book and prepare to record your own observations through the lens of a camera and the pages of your journal.
